Coushatta Water System is experiencing water problems
Residents are being urged to disinfect their water...
The Coushatta Water System is experiencing water problems. So it's issued a boil water advisory -- just as a precaution. That advisory will remain in effect until it's rescinded by the State Health Department. Coushatta area residents are being urged to disinfect their water before drinking it, making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation. You can do that by boiling it for a full minute in a clean container -- after it's reached a full rolling boil. Water system officials say you can eliminate the flat taste after boiling by shaking the water in a clean bottle or by pouring it from one clean container to another several times.
